Health insurance open enrollment runs November 1 through December 15 — enroll by December 15 for coverage starting January 1. Life events — losing job coverage, moving, marriage, a new baby — can open a special enrollment window any time of year. Life, dental, vision, and supplemental plans can be started year-round.
Plenty — Marketplace plans (where your income may qualify you for premium tax credits), private individual plans, and other alternatives are all on the table. James works with many self-employed clients and will run the numbers each way so you can see the true cost of each route.
All of them. James can help you with plans from United Healthcare, Cigna, BCBS, PHCS, Delta Dental, Humana, Aetna, and more. A company’s own agent can only sell you that company’s plans — as an independent agent, James compares across carriers and stays your agent even if you switch later.
